the first step

The process has begun! It is always so exciting to start a new project. A couple weeks ago, Feb 28,2014 (a hundred years from now it will be good info to run across that date, you are welcome future genealogy researchers!) a beautiful bride to be "Kathleen" , along with her mom, maid of honor and myself went gown exploring. It was tons of fun and started the inspiration process of a Dona Lynn Design.

"Kathleen" tried on gowns with full skirts, A line silhouettes and dropped waisted with a fit and flare shape. We had her try on gowns with different necklines as well. Paying close attention to fabrics and details that excited us, I think we are well on our way to finding the one of a kind design for "Kathleen". When my sketches and proof are ready for "Kathleen" to see we will have a date to finalize the design.

Below are a few of the gowns that have inspired....

We loved this back!

She looked amazing in this dropped waisted silhouette...

Layered Chiffon.....GORGEOUS!!

Okay, there you have it, the day a Dona  Lynn Design took it's first steps.....keep watching as the documentation of this one of a kind gown continues.
